We serve children, youth, young adults, and all members of the family unit, and specialize in supporting persons impacted by foster care and adoption, as well as justice-involved youth and other vulnerable populations.
Youth and young adults in foster care, or those who are considered opportunity youth, are often in need of life skills training and support. At Family Roots, we facilitate life skills topics such as:
We provide family life coaching to individuals and couples around a myriad of topics such as: parenting, relationships, family planning, adoption, foster care, and more!
We also partner with other child and family serving organizations to provide consultation and training on a variety of topics - all to ensure the health and well-being of children and families.
Currently On Hold
Youth in foster care often experience multiple homes and transitions. As they grow older, they may only have a few tangible memories. Life Books are beneficial to helping youth preserve childhood memories, fill in the blanks of lost memories, and help them answer questions about their past. This gives them an enhanced sense of self and an understanding of their place and purpose in the world.
Life Books can be both sentimental and therapeutic. Support the Life Books project to help build a child's or young person's life story by becoming a VOLUNTEER or DONOR today.
Consider sharing your experience and expertise with youth in need. Having someone with whom they can communicate and confide in can make a world of difference in their lives. Contact us at: info@familyrootsforlife.org, or fill out the Volunteer Form below:
