My name is Madeline Minor and I am a LPC and LMFT-Associate (supervised by Jennifer Reeves, LMFT-S) in Houston, Texas. I specialize in working with African American millennial women, couples, and women experiencing maternal mental health challenges.
I received my Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Houston in 2010 and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with a Concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy from Sam Houston University in 2018. I have had the pleasure of facilitating substance abuse groups, as well as worked with teens, families, and individuals throughout my mental health career. Currently, I facilitate a monthly-closed group at Family Roots for Life, which I have done for about two years. I am passionate about helping people grow mentally.
Through our journey together, you will find a judgment-free space where you can be real. I believe therapy is a collaborative process where you can heal and grow. I do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach to therapy as everyone is unique. However, I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, or an eclectic approach. I am also Gottman Level 1 certified, Fair Play Certified, and a RETAIN Parental Leave Coach.
I look forward to meeting you and starting our work together.
