Join Family Roots for Life, Inc. for an unforgettable night at the Roots, Boots & Bling! Gala on September 11 at 7 PM at the Houston Marriott Sugar Land. Enjoy cocktails, dinner, music from our DJ, saddle roping and western games, a 360 photo booth, Saddle Up photos and a lively silent auction as we raise vital funds for programming and supportive services for adolescents, young people aging out of foster care and families across Greater Houston.

ABOUT THE SPEAKER

Tobias Herrera IV entered foster care at age 14 and aged out at 18, shaping a life story rooted in resilience and faith. He went on to build a successful 20‑year career in the Oil and Gas industry, contributing his expertise to companies such as Fluor, Jacobs, Worley, Technip, ExxonMobil, Westlake Chemical and BASF. His professional journey reflects discipline, determination and a commitment to excellence. 


Today, Tobias invests his time and heart into Fort Bend County through his business, Catalyst Volleyball, Lunches of Love and one‑on‑one mentorship. His work strengthens families, inspires young people and builds a community grounded in compassion and opportunity.
