On September 11, Family Roots for Life, Inc.® brought big Texas energy, western glam, and heartfelt community spirit to the Houston Marriott Sugar Land for the 2026 Roots, Boots, & Bling! Gala. Supporters from across Greater Houston gathered for a night filled with celebration, connection, and a shared commitment to helping youth and families thrive.
From the moment guests stepped into the ballroom, the atmosphere was buzzing. Music filled the air, cocktails flowed, and attendees jumped right into the fun as they browsed the silent auction, played western‑themed games, posed for “Saddle Up” photos, and lined up for the crowd‑favorite 360 photo booth. Boots, rhinestones, cowboy hats, and bold Texas style set the tone for a night where celebration and purpose blended seamlessly.
ABC13 journalist and anchor Briana Conner welcomed guests and guided the evening with warmth and enthusiasm while Reverend Ann K. Lister offered a moving Prayer of Hope before the organization honored leaders who make a difference every day.

After dinner, the dance floor came alive as Bonnita “The Line Dance Diva” Warren and the Fort Bend Steppers led guests through high‑energy line dancing and crowd‑pleasing routines. Throughout the night, attendees mingled, danced, bid generously in the silent auction, snapped photos, and enjoyed the full western‑glam experience.
At the heart of the celebration was the impact. Funds raised during the gala will support intervention programs, life-skills coaching, and long‑term prevention services for adolescents in residential treatment centers, justice‑involved youth, young parents, emerging adults aging out of foster care and caregivers.
