Family Roots for Life has been hard at work. Please take a look at our Impact Report to learn a little about what our organization has accomplished in the last calendar year.

Historians say that turning 100 is the benchmark for an elite club of senior citizens—Centenarians! In 2024, Family Roots for Life proudly celebrates 100-year-old Lurline B. Dewar, born on October 26, 1924, to Hilda Goldberg in Jamaica, West Indies.

As an adult, “Lurline” by trade, worked as a Dietary Supervisor at Kings County Hospital in Brooklyn, NY, but in her younger years, she expressed a passion for dancing, making it one of her favorite hobbies and pastimes.
