At 102 years old, Shelby, Alabama native Gladys Montgomery Perkins is Family Roots for Life’s newest Living Legend.  

Mrs. Perkins is recognized globally by more than 210K followers, and beloved, as one of the longest-living, elder TikTok sensations.  A series created by her youngest daughter, Maxine Perkins (@maxineperkinswordsmith), is a living history of her memories, life experiences, celebrations, and expressions of faith. They are a source of inspiration and entertainment for her offspring including 27 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great-grandchildren, and internet families worldwide.

Family Roots for Life celebrated 3 years as a social service organization in 12/2023.

This June, Family Roots for Life shares a few heartfelt moments and ways fathers have made a positive difference in the lives of a few of our supporters. 

Mr. Rick Kelley, father of Atasha Kelley-Harris, founder of Family Roots for Life, Inc.®, suddenly passed away on May 20, 2024. Those who met him knew that he appreciated family, and valued the dreams of his daughter Atasha, and her desire to Reunite, Reconnect and Restore children and families through her organization, Family Roots for Life, Inc.® Please help us continue the legacy with a gift “in honor of” or “in memory of” Mr. Rick Kelley--a genuine husband, father, and friend.
